Principal’s Message – Welcome to the 2017-18 School Year!

August 11, 2017

Dear Cowboy Parents:

Welcome to what we know will be a GREAT school year. We want the opening of school to be the best ever for you and your children. Toward that end, please make sure you have completed your InfoSnap registration before coming to Walk-Through next week.

To help with the flow of the day for all families, we ask that you make a special effort to adhere to your assigned times. Due to the need to have all office staff supporting Walk-Through, we ask your understanding in the need to limit office traffic to those families who need to enroll with our Registrar or need to update their address (those who have moved over the summer).

If you have specific questions about Walk-Through, please e-mail Veronica Torres directly at vtorres@lvjusd.k12.ca.us. This is the ONLY reliable way to make sure that your message is received.

Items that are new this year are:

Please watch for PTSA Flash Sale for Safe and Sober Grad Night tickets. These are on sale August 14, 15 and 16 ONLY for $55.00. This is a discount of $10.00.
Transit Pass documents are available for you to fill out at Walk-Through. This program is a fantastic opportunity for our students. This year, these bus passes are free for all students who apply. Please take advantage of this amazing program.
We will be selling new LHS sweatshirts this year. They are $45.00 (less than past years).
Schedule Changes: In the past, schedule changes during Walk-Through have caused long wait times for parents and students. To avoid these long wait times and still be able to give individual attention, schedule changes will only be considered by submitting the tear-off form filled out on the bottom of the student’s schedule. Counselors will be contacting you by phone or e-mail to address your requested changes. Please do not request a schedule change via e-mail or phone message. Counselors will contact you once they receive your submitted form.

We appreciate your understanding of this new process, which is due to both increased enrollment and very tightly scheduled classes.

Here at LHS we value your time. It is always our intention to provide you with the best possible service. Your children’s needs are always our number one priority.

I look forward to seeing you during Walk-Through.

Sincerely,

Vicki Scudder
Principal
